Because everyone deserves to be heard—and every story matters.
Hi, I’m Kim
With nearly 30 years of experience as an educator and counsellor in the school systems, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting underserved youth and families from diverse backgrounds. My work has centered on advocacy, guidance, and—above all—empowering individuals to navigate challenges with resilience and hope.
Today, as the founder of my private practice for the past five years, I extend that same commitment to children, teens, and adults seeking growth and healing. Therapy, to me, is a partnership—one built on trust, empathy, and actionable steps forward. Together, we’ll work not just to cope, but to thrive.

At the heart of my practice is a deep belief in the transformative power of therapy—a collaborative space where healing begins, resilience is rebuilt, and new possibilities emerge. I see therapy as more than just addressing symptoms; it’s about rewriting limiting narratives, reclaiming personal strength, and fostering holistic well-being—mentally, emotionally, and relationally.
As a compassionate, solution-focused counsellor, I blend evidence-based techniques with a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which helps clients identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns while developing practical strategies for lasting change. Whether navigating anxiety, past trauma, or life’s everyday challenges, I tailor my methods to meet each individual’s unique needs.

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), a Master of Education (M.Ed.), and additional specialization in Counselling, I bring both academic excellence and deep clinical expertise to my practice.
My diverse skill set allows me to tailor therapy to each of my client’s unique needs—whether helping children express themselves through Play Therapy, guiding teens and adults with CBT and DBT, or incorporating mindfulness techniques to promote emotional balance and resilience.
